Activists from Denison traveled to the nearest Sears store in Heath,
Ohio for our action. We started off with some discrete flyering around
the massive store, placing probably over 100 into the clothing and
appliances. Before regrouping for some radical cheers, I noticed that
someone from mall security took our tree costumes and bannner that we
had laying under a bench and he shoved them into the trash! That
didn't stop us though; we delivered a letter to the manager, dug our
items out and did cheers for a good while as people passed by.
Unfortunately, we were constrained by time, but security didn't seem
like they were about to do anything! So we left with a grand finale as
Kristen and Ben paraded through the store with our banner and I
continued throwing flyers around and handing them out to customers.

All in all, it was a fun and productive time. We may get some media
and will probably be back early next semester!

Notable interactions:

- Someone asked us if we got paid for our protest and upon learning we
weren't, she told us how brave we were.

- Two people said that they recycle as they were handed a flyer.

- As we left the store, a mall security person under the title of
"loss prevention" approached us and politely told us we can't come
back. Seriously, what's loss prevention?

- Ben told a Sears employee about everything, who didn't know about it
and seemed very concerned.
